Car Alarms: starguard installation ?, alarmtek, ford dealership

My son had a starguard device installed on his 2003 Taurus (by the dealership)He was in an accident. The passenger airbag deployed, but not the driver's. Could the installation of this device have had anything to with that?

Highly unlikely. Those wires are
encased in a highly visable to an installer,
tube along the steering column, and has
zero to do with an aftermarket alarm.

I hope this helped. I'd talk to the Ford dealership
as to what part of they'res malfunctioned.
