Car Alarms: EXCALIBUR ALARM SYSTEM, shock sensor, nissan pickup

Question
QUESTION: I JUST BOUGHT A 88 NISSAN PICKUP WITH A EXCALIBUR ALARM SYSTEM. THE REMOTE POPS THE DOORS OPEN. I SEE THAT THERES A BLINKING LIGHT IN THE VEHICLE. BUT MY ALARM SPEAKER ISN'T CONNECTED TO SOUND. HOW DO I FIX THIS. I NOTICE THERES TWO WIRES COMING OUT OF THE SPEAKER UNDER THE HOOD. ONE RUNS SOMEWHERE IN THE TRUCK AND THE OTHER IS JUST SITTING THERE. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT TO DO. THANK YOU

ANSWER: The "other" should be the ground wire.
Ground it to the chassis and set off the alarm.

The siren will then sound, but have the remotes
ready to turn it off. If you need more info
on the system you have, go to www.caralarm.com

Good luck.

QUESTION: THANK YOU THAT WORKED OUT PERFECT. MY NEXT QUESTION IS .   IS THERE ANY WAY TO AJUST ANY KIND OF SENSITIVITY ON THE ALARM. IT SEEMS TO ONLY GO OFF WHEN I TRY TO PUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION. BUT NOT WHEN I OPEN A DOOR. AND THATS MY MAIN CONCERN DUE TO ALL THE GADGETS THAT ARE INSIDE.

Answer
You will need to then go over the wiring of the
alarm to the truck. It should trigger when the doors
are opened, and if the shock sensor was installed,
when the on the outer shell of the car, would trigger
as well.  If your's does not do this, then again,
inspect the installation, and get the manual for any reset
codes or procedure you may have missed.
