QuestionQUESTION: I have the crimestopper 2016 fm alarm/car starter.Before i installed this alarm i had the ultra start alarm/starter(professionally installed).So when i installed the crimestopper,i just used the same wires they used to install it.I had both install books,just crossed referenced the wires.Everything works fine,but sometimes when the truck goes to start,the starter will start turning over,then stop and the alarm will sound.But not all the time.When the alarm does go off,the remote tells me the doors were opened.I did use the dome light trigger,theres no pin switches in my truck.
I have an 2003 f-350 diesel crew cab.I did install diodes for the door locks,do i need them for the dome light trigger as well.

ANSWER: The door trigger is 1 wire.
A black with a blue stripe found in
both kick panel areas. Use only the POSITIVE
door trigger wire on the Crimestopper to
this wire. Cut off the (-) negative one.
That should do it. No diodes.

QUESTION: I did use the + for the alarm.But thats not the issue.The door trigger works fine.I'm trying to find out why the alarm goes off sometimes when i try to start it with the remote.It will try to start and not compete the start and the alarm will sound.It doesn't do it all the time,just once an a while.

Does your alarm current sense? If it does, try to
shut down this feature. Also, does the remote start
use a (-) when running output to go to the factory
alarm wire, disabling it? Usually you would attatche
this to disarm the factory alarm, but you might
be able to create a loop back to disarm the alarm
part of your Crimestopper. Tricky and ill advised.
Try an experiment. Use your shock sensor for a bit,
and leave off the door pin switch wire (+).
Now remote start it alot to get the thing to
trigger the alarm. If it does, pull the shock.
and see if that stops the feedback pulse.
If not, diode the (+) door trigger and try it again.
