Car Alarms: 94 Explorer - Factory Anti-theft alarm, alarm features, honking

The alarm (lights flashing and horn honking) goes off every time we open the driver's door. We got the car used, 2 years ago, keys only, no remote. We can't figure out how to reset the alarm, and now we can't start the vehicle. This never happened before!  Confused in CT!

Please try to locate the valet switch
to overide the alarm.

If you would read some of the previous
posts I made on this subject, you will
see the procedure to toggle into and out
of valet/override mode. It allows
you to set and reset the starter kill mechanism
as well as all other standard alarm features.

This should also apply to yours.
