Car Alarms: viper 771xv-remote start, ford f 250, diesel truck

I just had a viper 771xv remote start/security system installed on my 2006 ford f-250 diesel truck.  My problem is with the remote start.  It will start no problem but it only runs for 10-20 seconds then shuts off and restarts again for 10-20 seconds.  I have taken it back to the installer 3 times already and he can't get it right.  It will work the first couple of times, then it doesn't.  He says he has to fine tune the tach.  Could you tell me where this adjustment is so I can try it myself.  Thanks for your help.
