Car Alarms: adjusting car alarm sensitivity 1999 VW GTI VR6, shock sensor, screw driver

Question
Recently had my car in for service for starting problems, and once I got it back, I notice my car alarm will go off for no apparent reason.  Wanted to see if i could adjust the sensitivity of the alarm somehow.  Is this easily done?  do you think that is the problem?

Thanks for any help

Answer
Hard to say since I have no idea what alarm
you are talking about. But to guess, I would say
there is a shock sensor somewhere up in the underdash
you need to access, then using a smallish screw
driver, turn counter clockwise to turn down or off.

Check on that first, then let me know if
you corrected the problem.
