Car Alarms: Unable to deactivate alarm system, fcc id, shock sensor

Question
I recently purchased a 2003 srt4 and had an incident where the alarm went off and i tried to use the keyless entry remote model #gq43vt9t to deactivate it. i pressed all buttons on the remote and nothing happened accept for turning on the panic! I asked the guy whom i bought the car from and he didnt even know he had a factory alarm system! The car has had a new blow off valve put on as well as a new intake and turbo timer. can any of these parts be causing this problem? Or what can i do to fix it? thank you.

Answer
Hard to say what you have there.
Try identifying it at www.remotesunlimited.com
and use that fcc id.

As far as what's setting it off, could be
a vibration/shock sensor, or a current sensing
alarm, (THE TURBO COULD DEFINATELY SET IT
OFF WITH BOTH SENSORS)
but without id'ing it, I'd just just
be guessing.

Let me know what you discover.
