Car Alarms: clifford arrow 5, shock sensor, false alarms

Question
I have a clifford arrow 5 alarm and it goes off every night like clockwork for no reason.  No shock sensor, just door locks and hood sensor.  The siren goes for 60 seconds and then stops.  What could be causing the false alarms?

Answer
Hard to tell but normally it's detecting an
open circuit, setting off the alarm. Like
a dome light/door trigger delay. If your car
as a delay feature, this could cause an older
alarm to false like this. Most new alarms now
can detect and bypass the trigger until the
delay on the dome light goes out.

If possible, set the alarm to bypass the door
trigger for 1 min. or, turn off the current sensing
of the alarm. I do not sell or service Clifford,
so can't help there, but try the forum at

Good luck.
