Car Alarms: 2004 Chevy Factory security system, impact sensor, sensativity

Question
I have a 2004 S-10 with factory alarm.  It keeps going off at all hours of the day but no one is near it.  Is there anyway to adjust the sensativity for it

Answer
Typical factory installed alarms do not have any type of adjustable sensor.  The systems are normally triggered off pinswitches.  You may have a bad pinswitch or may indeed have an impact sensor of some type.  If you take a look under the driver's dash you may be able to locate the impact sensor, on this sensor will be a small turn screw that you can adjust.
