Car Alarms: 1996 Hyundai Elantra - Alarm, hyundai elantra, alarm features

Question
Hello,
I have an aftermarket Precision alarm installed on my vehicle and a few years ago, the alarm would go off at random so I disconnected the wires leading to the siren and I did not have to hear it anymore.  A few days ago, the car would not start; however, anytime I open the door or put the key in the ignition, the alarm lights flash.  I have changed the battery and still nothing.  I believe the issue has something to do with the alarm, but I am not sure how to correct it.  Any insight you can provide would be helpful.

Thanks!

Answer
Please try to locate the valet switch
to overide the alarm.

If you would read some of the previous
posts I made on this subject, you will
see the procedure to toggle into and out
of valet/override mode. It allows
you to set and reset the starter kill mechanism
as well as all other standard alarm features.

This should also apply to yours.

Good luck with it. Should do the trick.
