Car Alarms: dealer installed alarm in Cadillac, 1990 cadillac brougham, cadillac brougham

Question
I have a 1990 Cadillac Brougham (pre-VATS) that I bought used. It came with a keychain remote with the Cadillac emblem on it, so I assume it was a dealer-installed unit.
I have had the car for 3 years and never had to use the remote. I stored the car over the winter and the battery died. Now with the battery recharged, there's a flashing red LED under the dash and the car won't crank (lights do not dim, no starter engagement or clicks).
I put a fresh battery in the remote, but no luck. The circuit board inside the remote is stamped "CODE ALARM".
Any idea where I can find a schematic so I can remove this system and put the wiring back to stock?

Answer
Ok, try this.
Put the key in the ignition, and turn forward
all the way just before cranking. Then within
5 seconds, locate, press and hold in the
valet/overide button, (since this seems
to be a Code Alarm, The LED (the blinking light)
under your dash may double as the valet button)
area until it goes on solid, and the siren chirps
once.

This should reset the alarm.

Just Repeat these steps to place it
back to usable armed mode.
You may get 2 chirps, confirming it,
and the lights may flash twice as well.

That should do it.

Let me know if this applied to yours.
