Car Alarms: Key fob (Factory) No range.., dodge intrepid, problem thanks

I have 98 Dodge Intrepid.I recently bought the car and the fob  
didnt work.I replaced the batteries.Fob works!But from only 2-3 feet away from the car.Replace the fob?Resynce the fob.Or do I have some type of antennae problem?Thanks for the help.

Would have the people who sent you the fob
provide the support and answers you need here.
I do after market, so I can't speak to the OEM
remotes issue you have there.

Get up with the dealership to inspect it.

Wish I had more to offer.
