Car Alarms: 96 Grand cherokee, alarmtek, purple wire

Question
i have read that cutting and grounding a purple wire or flipping an off switch will disable the alarm, but i don't know where either of them are. i have looked for the switch and the wire but was unsuccessful in locating either. could you give me a more detailed process in executing this, or possibly even telling me which fuse to pull.

Answer
Yours is a bit different. Model changes from 95 to 96
were extensive, wiring wise. All except the factory
disarm wire, luckilly.

The FACTORY ALARM DISARM WIRE IS
purple/yellow |-|in the drivers door harness
in the drivers kick panel.

Once Located, splice into this wire with
a simular guage wire, and put it to
a solid chassis ground. This terminates
the alarm functions entirely.

That should take care of the factory alarm
issue until ungrounded.
