Car Alarms: Security Alarm Dash Light, buick grand national, alarmtek

Concerns 1987 Buick Grand National factory installed security system.  Recently, the dashboard security light began blinking when the ignition is off and the alarm is not armed.  The light will go off when the ignition is on.  How do I stop the security light from coming on when the alarm is not armed>  Thanks

Please tell me what you are experiencing.

I need to determine whether it's a factory alarm
issue or, if it's an aftermarket system you are
dealing with.

Many veriables on this vehicle &
I Require a bit more imput please.

Is it: Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY" light in the dash flashing?
Or,
is it: flashing parking lights,
an LED in the dash area, and a siren
going off?

Let me know more on this to better
advise you on a course of action
to take, to help you to fix this
situation you're in quickly.
