Car Alarms: car wont turn over after I disconnected the positive from the batter, chrysler cirrus, 95 chrysler cirrus

Question
Well, I have a 95 chrysler cirrus and, it's like i just said, i disconnected the positive from the battery and now the car won't start (after I put the positive back on the battery terminal). i am not sure if i have an alarm, but it seems likely to be some kind of security feature that now needs to be reset(?).
thanks for any help you can give,
Nate

Answer
This one is tricky. The Cirrus is a difficult vehicle
to work on and it can be expensive. If it's an aftermarket
alarm, look at the last few posts to get valet overide
info, and apply.

If it's factory, then it's going to be a surgical
application using relays and resistors. Dodge/Chrysler
is the best place for this, or a good stereo/car alarm
shop.

Here's how to tell one from the other:

HEADLIGHT FLASHING & CAR HORN HONKING
AND THE WORD "SECURITY" OR ANTI-THEFT
IN THE DASH=factory (OEM) alarm
or,
SIREN BLARRING AND PARKING LIGHTS FLASHING WITH
AN LED FLASHING IN THE DASH=AFTER MARKET.

Just hope it's the former, not the latter here
for you wallets sake.

I hope this helps you.
