QuestionI went out to the car to retrieve something and the alarm went off, nothing I could do would stop the noise, I have a key fob which "contro;s" the alarm and the locking/unlocking of doors. Desperate, called 911, they told me to disconnect the car battery. Hung up the phone...and the alarm stopped.
Now, I need to drive tomorrow, and how can I disable the alarm other than disconnecting the car battery? I am very car knowledge-less. Other than calling the Jeep dealer, or my auto-insurance road service (would they disable it for me?).
Also, this alarm fob and key are a replacement for my original which were lost. This key is odd, I pulled the key out of the ignition once (gently, mind you) and the car kept running.). Also, it is now an any key ignition. Well. just about any key, like filed down Toyota keys work fine.
Any very simpleton ideas to help me in case this noisy disaster happens again?
