Car Alarms: 1990 Jeep Cherokee wont start, jeep cherokee, starter wire

have an old Magnum model .357 security alarm. my red light indicator on dash is not on now and car will not start. even trying to jump start doesn't help. am able to start the car by crossing the wires on starter.  i believe something is up with the alarm to prevent the car from starting.  plz help if you have any answers.

See starter disable at www.relayhelp.com and track
this relay under the dash, on the starter wire you
have there.

Cut it out, and re attache the
2 ends of the starter.

If that does not solve it, you may have other issues,
mechanical, alternator charging system issues
that may need inspecting.
