Car Alarms: Door Locks have a mind of their own!, dodge ram 1500, doorlocks

Question
I have a 99 DOdge Ram 1500 SLT 5.2 v8 gas engine and I just had the viper 160xvl installed. The remote start works flawlessly, but my problem is with my doorlocks. After I had the system installed one month ago, on a few occasions while driving my truck, the doorlocks started locking and unlocking themselves like they had a mind of their own. Now the doorlocks most of the time stay locked, and when I try to unlock them using the switch on the door, they stay locked, like the system is "fighting" to keep the door locked. You hear a switch like it is trying to unlock the door, but the door lock doesn't raise. If you go at it again, the door locks might work regularly, but rarely. I have a feeling that there must be a short or something somehwere, but I have no idea. I have the door panel off the truck and was wondering if you can help me out!
Thanks,
Jerry

Answer
Sorry, If you did not notice, there is a link to the
DEI-VIPER-SIDEWINDER-RATTLER Q&A forum On the site
you just came from. Was It not functioning?
If not, I'll double check that link right away.
In the meantime, you should take this inquiry
to the 12 volt installers forum.

Let me explain.

I am not the Viper tech in the ALARMTEK family.
My friend and collegue TWELVOLTZ is the
man on these issues.

Please take this question to my
resident DEI/Hornet/Python/Viper/Clifford
tech at my online 12 volt installation
forum at:

www.installsupport.com

Good luck with it.
