Car Alarms: Auto mate 476A problem, honda accord, remote security

Question
I bought a Honda Accord recently and came with a third party keyless remote security system. I am having problems figuring out with the "AUX" button is for. I also don't like the fact that it automatically locks the door even if the key is in the ignition (car turned off). When I fill the gas I have to always leave a door open so as not to trigger the alarm, thus being locked out. I would also like to know if I could turn off the loud "beep" when I press the lock and unlock button on the remote. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
The "aux" auxillary button is a (-) negative
trigger output for use with a trunk release kit
or, possibly a remote start system.

In this car, there would be a mechanical trunk,
so a release kit would be the way to make it
remotely controled. (www.12voltplanet.com)

As far as the passive arming setting, you would need
to consult the manual for prcedure to toggle between
active (what you want), & passive mode
(what you have now).

You will also find how to use your silent mode and
how to toggle between silent and standard chirp mode
in the features section of the manual.

I don't supply manuals here however. I
do hope you still have yours.

God luck.
