Car Alarms: Uninstalling facroty alarm on Jeep Grand Cherokee 98, jeep grand cherokee, grand cherokee

Question
QUESTION: I saw that someone was experiencing the same problem that i am on the jeep. My alarm goes off randomly and I'm forced to lock it by hand to avoid arming the alarm.

I have a doorlock module 455T, i believe.. however, everywhere ive taken it, they say that it wont solve the problem, however, none have actually tried.
I want to buy an after market alarm, however,I dont want to waste my money having an alarm installed that wont fix the problem.

I went to jeep and they say that uninstalling the alarm can me done, but i cannot seem to find a wiring diagram anywhere for my friends to do it.

is there anything i can do? other than take it back to jeep for them to charge me an arm and a leg just to get it uninstalled?
or will the module actually bypass the factory alarm and make it not go off when the aftermarket alarm locks the doors?
ANSWER: Ok, You are gonna love this.
What if you could simply keep it from
arming at all? The the aftermarket
system would replace al of the security
applications?

There are 2 ways. 1. Get an aftermarket system with
a (-) ground output for factory alarms. This is the
momentary trigger needed to do what you asked.

Or, disable it for good by doing the following:

The FACTORY ALARM DISARM WIRE IS
purple/yellow in the drivers door harness
in the kick panel area.

Also located in the same 14 pin black connector
as the separate door trigger wires,
a 14 pin black plug at the BCM located between
the steering column and the drivers kick panel.
The plug is located in the drivers side front corner
of BCM just behind the knee bolster. All wires in
the plug exit straight down.

Once Located, splice into this wire with
a simular guage wire, and put it to
a solid chassis ground. This terminates
the alarm functions entirely.

However, at this point, this car would be exceedingly
easy to steel, so I suggest you get an aftermarket
alarm system to protect it from here on in.

QUESTION: i'm not sure i fully understood your response..

but today..
i took it to a place where they knew a little more than the other people i asked.. and the guy tried disconnecting the yellow wire.. and the lights stayed on.. the dome lights never turned off.. so he advised me to replace the door pins and see if that was the problem with the factory alarm..

he said that he can disconnect the wire from the door pins so install an after market alarm and run it through the pins..

are the lights supposed to stay on when you disconnect that wire? or did we not wait not enough to see if it worked?

ohh.. also.. he said that by disconnecting the alarm.. that the keyless entry and a few other things that tie to that alarm would not work..

is there a way to turn off the dome lights while the doors are open?

Answer
Try to get back to pre install condition because
I can't help if the car is not right.

Until done, I really can't say what can be done
until you get it back in order.
About the "yellow" wire?
No idea which yellow you have there.

And by grounding the factory alarm wire,
just simply stops the horn honking and headlights
from flashing. It does not terminate the rest.

Repair the truck first.
