Car Alarms: alarm and immobiliser, alpha romeo 156, alfa romeo

hi, im driving an alpha romeo 156 (2000 model), and the key fob has stopped working, no reason, battery is fine. this means the alarm is set and so is the immobiliser. i can get in the car with the key but cannot stop the alarm or take the immobiliser off! also i am not too familiar with the car yet, as i bought it only a month ago,so have no idea if there is any reset button or something in it, or where it would be located!

I don't know this car's electronic systems to
advise on it, sorry.
