Car Alarms: Where is the switch inside the car?, prestige alarm, zip ties

Question
QUESTION: I bought a 95 Honda accord recently and it has a prestige alarm/automatic start.  Everything was working fine i was at work and set the alarm.  When i went to get back into my car i pressed the button and realized that the button was dying.  I unlocked the car with my key and the alarm was going off.  I looked for the button under the dash to shut it off and could not find it.  I luckily got the button to work before the battery died completely.  But i would like to know where that button is for the future.
ANSWER: There is no set location for valet buttons.  That is up to the installer when he/she is doing the installation.  They are normally located somewhere in the driver's kick panel area but I have mounted them anywhere from in the trunk to in a glove box to under the hood, depending on where the owner wanted it.  Your best bet would be to take down the dash panel under the steering column, and find the brain of the alarm then trace out the harnesses to find the switch.

QUESTION: How would i know what the "brain of the alarm" looks like?

Answer
The brain of the alarm is typically a black plastic box that will have an assortment of wires run to it.  They are normally either mounted using zip ties or screws.  Here is a link to a picture of an alarm with extras the brain is the larger box.  http://www.caraudiobook.com/car_alarms_security_systems/car_alarms_security_syst
