Car Alarms: Viper 560XV, gmc yukon, installation forum

HI...I had a Viper 560XV installed in my 06 gmc yukon....when is arm/disarm at night my parking and headlights would flash twice....I also lost my perimiter lights....I'm not to concerned about my perimiter lights but I wanted to add HID headlights and i was told they would die quickly by my alarm flashing them so often....was the alarm connectted properly???
