Car Alarms: 95 Bronco Alarm is too sensitive., ford bronco, shock sensor

Question
Hi, I recently purchased a '95 Bronco with what i believe is the Factory Alarm.

When parked, larger passing trucks set it off.  Neighbors are beginning to
become upset with me because it will go off as many as 10 times a day.  So
for the interim, I have the alarm turned off during the day, but i have no
choice but to arm it at night.  Luckily fewer trucks drive by at night.

I know most alarms allow you to adjust the sensitivity .... is this possible
with this '95 Ford Bronco?  If so, how?  Do I need to locate the alarm box
underneath the hood or is it inside the truck?

Thanks so much!

Answer
No, not a factory alarm issue Jason.
It's an aftermarket alarm with a shock sensor set too high.
You will need to go under the dash area, locate the sensor
attached to the brain box, and turn the sensetivity wheel
counter clock wise to decrese it, or off to just rely on
the door triggers to protect the truck.

That should solve your troubles here.

Have a good evening.
