Car Alarms: 1997 Chrysler Sebring alarm, ohm resistor, chrysler sebring

Question
QUESTION: I have an alarm that goes off, not sure how it started but now I dont know how to turn it off.  I dont have any type of remote just the key, I ended up pulling 2 fuses to stop it from beeping.
ANSWER: Please tell me what you are experiencing.

I need to determine whether it's a factory alarm
issue or, if it's an aftermarket system you are
dealing with.

Is it: Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY" light in the dash flashing?
Or,
Is it: flashing parking lights,
an LED in the dash area, and a siren
"going off"?

Let me know more on this to better
advise you on a couse of action.

Answer
Ok then, normally, you would insert the key in
the drivers door, turn left, then right
to disarm and reset it. If yours is malfunctioning,
you can disable it for good by doing the following:

The FACTORY ALARM DISARM WIRE IS
lt green/orange |+ |DKP above hood release.
Factory alarm arm requires a positive trigger
with a 940 ohm resistor wired in series.
Factory alarm disarm requires a positive trigger
with a 470 ohm resistor wired in series.

However, at this point, this car would be exceedingly
easy to steel, so I suggest you get an aftermarket
alarm system to protect it from here on in.

Have a good day.
