Car Alarms: 2002 Maxima factory alarm is super-sensitive, alarmtek, oem system

Question
I brought my 2002 Maxima SE into the body shop for repairs to the driver side front, after getting into an accident.  When I received my car, the alarm kept on going off for no good reason.  First I thought it was the wind, but after a while I realized that it was really sensitive.  The horn goes off and the lights start flashing.  The hood, front bumper, and driver side headlight were replaced.  The alarm is the original factory alarm.   I was wondering where the sensors might be, and if i might be able to crank down the sensitivity of it.  Thanks, joe

Answer
No there is no extrenal way to change the sensetivity on a factory alarm. If it was aftermarket, then it would have an impact or, a vibration sensor that you can set to the level you like, but not on the OEM.

If you are having issues with
the OEM system then Nissan should have a look at it.

I hope this helps some.
