Car Alarms: Help with my Viper Alarm, exact model number, viper alarm system

Question
Hi again,  I am not quite sure which Viper alarm system I have because I bought my car used and it wasn't from the original owner.  I have a booklet that tells me to switch the alarm to valet mode by using my car key in the ignition while flicking a switch.  I contacted the last owner and he never had a problem with the alarm and doesn't know where a switch could be located.  I looked all in my car around the steering wheel under the dash etc. but found nothing.  I am not able to drive my car and I need help in how to disconnect it so I can move it from its location. I am also car illiterate so if you could tell me where to look under the hood. Thanks and if you could get back to me as soon as you are albe I would be appreciative.

-----Question-----
I bought a used 95 Honda Prelude with a Viper Alarm system.  Recently and more frequently the alarm does not receive the signal to disarm from either one of my remotes.  I walk around the car continuing to press the remote hoping to get a signal.  It is January and I don't know if the cold has anything to do with it.  But I can't be locked out of my car anymore.  What do I do?  Do I disarm it after it lets me in next time by cutting the wires from the horn?   Is there a way I can disarm it without the clicker?  My keys are not the originals and that probably will play a factor.  Please offer some advice. Many Thanks

You can put the system in valet mode and it will operate as just a key less entry system.  Have you tried putting new batteries in the remotes?  If you post the exact model number of your Viper system I will see what I can do about getting you an owner's manual that would explain in detail how to fully operate your system.

Answer
The valet switch may be hidden up under the dash, possibly taped to a harness.  Also check the fuse panel as some installers prefer to mount their switches there.  If  you take down the dash panel under the steering column and take a look at the harness running down from the key switch you will see where the alarm connections were tapped into the factory wiring.  Following these wires back will reveal the brain of the alarm and the fuses that are supplying it.  Pulling these fuses will disable the system.
