Car Alarms: Honda Accord, dash area, toggle switch

Question
I searched and could not find the "Valet" button or toggle switch.  Mt 2000 Honda Accord is designated as a V6 - not an LX, SE, or whatever.  So I am not sure just whether the "Valet" switch is different for this model, or not.  What is the function of the "Valet" switch?  That may help me to identify it.  Thanks.

-----Question-----
I bought a used 2000 Honda Accord that came with and Auto Mate 476A remote - no original Honda remote.  I have since purchased a new Honda remote, but cannot programm it according to Honda's instructions.  The Honda dealer said that I needed to unprogramm the Auto Mate remote.  Can this be done?  And if so, can I use it after I program the Honda remote for this car?  Thanks.
-----Answer-----
The Auto Mate has nothing to do with the OEM remote, or
the programming of it. The dealer may have meant
that you would need to disable the Auto Mate prior
to programming and using the Honda remote
because that are not compatible and
can not be used together. If you unlock the doors
by remote (honda), and the Auto Mate is still working,
it would go off, and no way to control it.

I would disable the Auto Mate using the
valet/overide switch installed.

Put the key in the ignition, and turn forward
all the way just before cranking. Then within
5 seconds, locate, press and hold in the
valet/overide button, found under the
dash area, (push button, spring loaded)
until the installed LED (the blinking light)
in your dash area goes on solid,
and the siren chirps once.

(Your valet switch might be the toggle
(on/off) type. in this case, key on,
flip switch in opposite direction,
then turn the key off.)

This should reset the alarm.

At this point, the only thing working would
be the keyless entry from the alarm,
if it came equipped that way.

Just Repeat these steps to place it
back to usable armed mode.
You may get 2 chirps, confirming it,
and the lights may flash twice as well.

That should do it.

then
try the programming again for the Honda piece.
And it should be fine.

Good luck with it.

Answer
It's usually a spring loaded button
black or red, and it's normally hidden
somewhere under the dash area.

It can also be a toggle "flip" type.

If it's not there, this could all be problematic.
If it is there, follow the previous direction.
