Car Alarms: keyless entry, chevy truck, door locks

Question
hello i have just installed an audiovox aa 925 keyless entry on my 93 chevy truck it worked great i am trying to install the exact same system on my 95 chevy truck however it honks the horn flashes the lights but will not lock or unlock the doors i have used a tester and if you unhook the control module and press the lock or unlock they both apper to work however when you wire it into the trucks lock /unlock wires it wont work any help would be greatly appreciated thank you

Answer
If the truck came from GM with keyless entry then the door lock triggers are positive as opposed to 5-wire.  How did you test your door locks?  If you cut one of the wires in a 5-wire the door locks will not work in either direction (lock or unlock).  With a positive trigger system if you cut one wire the other direction will continue to operate.  The difference between the two is with a positive trigger you are activating factory relays but with a 5-wire you are supplying the actuators directly.

Take a look at this page for a couple quick diagrams that may offer you some insight to your problems:

This is a direct link for the positive trigger setup and the diagram 2 below this one is the 5-wire.
