Car Alarms: Remote start for avalanche, chevy avalanche, remote start

I have a 2002 Chevy Avalanche and I had a local garage install a remote start for me.  I recently, had them take it back off because every time I used the remote start the transmission seemed like it was stuck in overdrive and would not shift.  If I started the truck as normal the truck ran fine.  Any clue what may be causing this?

Yes it sounds as if an ignition or an accessory wire
was not installed. The acc wire they missed
controls a transmission module and if
not powered up upon start , (remote start too)
you get what you have now.

Have the tech add this wire from the ignition
to solve the issue.
