Car Alarms: keyless car remote control, keyless car, brain box

Question
My Question is how do keyless car remote controls work and how does it know what car it is opening how does the whole keyless car remote control thing works.

Answer
Well. ok, the standard keyless entry is a signal generator.
It produces a frequency generated by wireless control,
to the signal generator in the brain box,
telling it to send a pulse to the
door lock/unlock wires in the vehicle.
This pulse, depending on the polarity, will activate
the door lock actuator in the doors, through connected
wires, throwing the lock mechanism, or the unlock
depending on which wire was pulsed. (lock or unlock)

That is in effect, how keyless entry works.
As far as the recognition of the remote,
each transmitter is frequency locked with
the main control box. There are Billions of codes
used to do this so it is rare that your
neighbor or, the guy up the street even,
would have remote frequencys that would match
yours. That seldom if ever, happens.

But in a nut shell, that's keyless entry for
a car or truck.

Have a look at www.KEYLESSCAR.com for
more info and diagrams on the subject, and
by the way, great question!
