Car Alarms: Car Alarm, ford zx2, open circuits

Question
My Ford ZX2 Sport 1999 car alarm goes off of no reason. I lock then leave and a little while later it goes off. How do I fix it and what is wrong. please help

Answer
There is ALWAYS a reason. From malfunctioning
equipment, to actuall lapses of the users memory,
there is ALWAYS a reason.

Alarms can sense open circuits. Likely
a door pin switch or a light is on in
the car that the system reads as a breach,
and sets it off. Possibly a trunk light
is on, an overhead light, ...something.

Could also be a sensetive shock/
impact sensor.

Unplug this if you can locate it
to see if it makes a difference.

Just spit balling here, but those are the first
things to inspect.

Se what you can find.
