Car Alarms: 99 durango alarm, starter wire, grand kids

i bought a durango for my daughter and it has a 4 number alarm pad attached to bottom of dash the grand kids were playing with it now the car will not start and the horn keeps honking i have no codes on how to reset it what can i do

Sorry Mr Harper but in this case,
the only way around this item is either
having the 4 digit code, or removing the item
from the starter wire at the ignition column.

See if your daughter has that number, or it's
going to stay in tamper mode until removed.

Hate to have to give you bad news,
But, removing it is not all that hard.
