Car Alarms: car wont start, exact model number, push button switch

i have lost my transmitter on the car alarm.. so my wont start..
my question is.. can i by pass alarm so i can start it? if so what do i do?

Answer
Find the valet switch, this will be a little metal switch or a push button switch.  Turn your ignition key to the run position and press/flip the switch.  This should make the LED illuminate solid, bypassing the alarm.  If you get me the exact model number of the alarm (normally located on the brain of the system) I will see what I can do about locating a user's manual for you.
