Car Alarms: viper 350HV no sound. but locks, valet mode, battery work

My viper 350HV doesnt make any nose any more, unless i press the panic button. It has done this before but corrected it self, now it seems to be stuck. Can you please help? I didnt want to ask the same question again, but will disconnecting the battery work for me too? because I dont want to mess it up.

Your system is probably in Valet mode, check the LED is it lit solid?  If it is lit solid turn the ignition key to the on position and flip the small toggle switch to the off position.  The Viper's can be put into valet mode from the remote as well, if you post your email address I will forward you the owner's manual for your system which explains this in better detail.
