Car Alarms: resetting my 3-button viper keyless entry, vehicle battery, keyless entry

during a thunderstorm a few months ago my alarm kept getting set off cause of the thunder. and then afterwards it wouldnt work anymore. ive looked through the list of questions and none of them quite helped me, mainly because my device doesnt have a "valet" button just a "unlock/lock" "aux" and "alarm". sorry to be a burden but i would like to know how to reset my viper button.

No system has a valet 'button'.  They have valet switches, normally located under the driver's side dash of the vehicle.  The easiest method to reset the system would be to disconnect the vehicle battery and reconnect it after a minute.  You could also do this by removing the fuses that supply the system, but they are under the dash.
