Car Alarms: Weird alarm problem again???, brain box, brainbox

Question
Ok,my last time, i swear......
*(With the new box installed)*
When the led light remains off that means the system is disarmed, which is whats in my case, when i hold the valet switch the led comes on solid which i understand to be a proper function....i guess what i'm saying is am i supposed to somehow activate my box, or activate my remotes to work to the box, because obviously my new box works just fine, when I turn my car to the on position my locks automatically unlock so thats a plus....its just getting the remotes to work with the box to arm/disarm

Subject: Weird alarm problems

I don't know if you remember my situation so I copied the date above.  You told me that replacing my "brain" box might fix the problem I was having. Today i've just recieved the exact same alarm system in the mail (AutoPage RF-310), I took out the old box and replaced it with the new one, but no action at all, not even the red light flashing.  I put the old one back in and the system "worked" (not properly) but worked.  So my question is what should I do?
-----Answer-----
ok, the obvious answer here is the wires aren not
connected correctly, because if it were an alarm
issue, it would be more then rare that 2 boxes went bad.
So, logically speaking, time to go over the installation
and the notes to find and fix the trouble.

At least that's how I would procede, to discount
all possibilities until you peel back the true
problem is the way to go.

Get the wiring chart out for the car or, buy it at www.mywires.com, and retro fit the new one correctly.

Good luck.

Answer
If the remotes do not work yet, it is due to you
trying to use the old remotes on a new brainbox.
With over 60 billion possible codes, it should be
this way.

Contact the folks you got it from to get the
remote programing procedures for the new box.

Normal. The old remotes should not
control the new box unless told to.

Makes sense, right?
