Car Alarms: Galaxy5000RS-2W, 2006 toyota solara, toyota solara

Question
I had the Galaxy 5000RS-2W installed on my 2006 TOYOTA Solara conv.   The installer told me that the 2-Way LCD Remote Transmitter could not be programed to unlock my doors using the two stage system, or unlock one door only when pressed once, and unlock all doors when pressed a second time.  Is this true or false? Can anyone help me.
  thank you

Answer
Your installer either did not want to, or did
not read how to set it up in the manual, but you
are correct in the assumption that this can be done.

In the system wiring section of the manual
(page 15, see 20 pin plug info,
BLUE/WHITE wire. This wire is to send
the negative pulse on the second push of the
lock/unlock button within 3 seconds.)

Relays are required in most cases, except in
this one, it should be a simple cutting of
the unlock wire, taking the blue unlock wire
from the alarm, and attatching it to the drivers
side of that cut wire, and the blue/white, to the
passenger side of that wire.

Then program it in the feature settings
for "double pulse" unlock and
that's that.

Sounds like HE could not do it, as opposed to
it CAN'T be done.

That's my opinion, I could be wrong.
