Car Alarms: automate car starter, exact model number, star button

Hi,I jst bought a 2002 Toyata Rav 4. It has auto mate car starter with alarm,no manuals. Can't figure out how to sart the starter. I know it works because I started it on accident.

Without the exact model number I can not get a manual for you.  If you pop down the dash panel under the steering column and follow the wires that were tapped in you will find the brain of the system.  On the brain should be some type of indication of the exact model number.

To the actual question, DEI usually has one of two methods to activate the remote start.  

1.  Press lock and unlock at the same time.
2.  Press the star button, release, press the star button again with minimal delay between the first and second press
