Car Alarms: 93 YUKON, dash area, flash lights

Question
I HAVE A 93 YUKON WITH A AUTO MATE REMOTE START/ ALARM SYSTEM. I REPLACED THE STARTER AND WILL NOT CRANK OVER NOW. CAN YOU GIVE ME ANY ADVICE HOW TO REPROGRAM OR DELET THE ALARM SYSTEM.THE TRUCK ALSO HAS SAT FOR A WHILE AND BATTERY WENT DEAD.

Answer
ok, the batter replaced first.
Then locate the overide/valet button
or switch, key in and on all the way before cranking,
then push and hold in the valet button,
or flip the switch you should find under the
dash area, until the alarm
gives you a reaction. (chirp-flash lights)

This should have now reset the alarm.

Leave it that way and it will be disabled.
Repeat the steps to go back to armed mode
if you wish.

That should do it.

Good luck.
