Car Alarms: Remote Start Failure, viper 560xv, gm dealer

Question
Hello,

Im having a problem, and have been having problems with my Viper 560XV remote start. I drive a 2000 Chevy s-10, and 50% of the time when i goto start my truck via remote, it cranks and then immediately dies. I know im having no issues with my truck because i just spent 3600 bucks to have it serviced. Its almost like the truck starts and then a split second later the Viper cuts off the fuel relay. This also happens 30% of the time when i use the key to start! After this happens for the first time, the trucks built in security light stays lit and then constantly flashes right next to the temp gauge. The starter in my truck is brand new so i know thats not the problem. Ive read a lot of Q:A's as to this problem and only came across one, but it was no help. My truck has no toggle valet switch either. If its located on the actual Viper unit, i have to take the undercarriage underneath my steering wheel apart. Please help~! Thanks

Rob

Answer
It does not sound as if your PASSLOCK BYPASS module is doing
it's job. This truck has Passlock II (www.passlockbypass.com)

If installed incorrectly, you get what you are
experiencing now.

Take it to the local stereo/alarm store near you for
repair/reinstallation of the module. NOT the GM dealer.

That should solve it.
