Car Alarms: viper 791XV Alarm/remote start, transponder chip, cold mornings

Question
The remote start does not work in cold weather, At summer works great, its only happens early in the morning, i have module with a copy of the key inside the car alarm, so could you please help me?

Answer
Typically when the vehicle does not remote start on cold mornings it is normally one of two things.

1.  Your vehicle battery is on the way out.  The DEI remote starts monitor the draw of the starter and if it sees too much of a drop it will not allow it to start even if you can still start it with the key.  I would have the battery load tested and see if it is still ok.

2.  The placement of the transponder ring is a little off.  Try re-adjusting the placement of the ring to get it as close as possible location the key's transponder chip sits in when the key is in the ignition (keep the ring as close to where the key gets inserted as possible).
