Car Alarms: alarm hook up, hook up my car, obd1

Question
My car was in a accident and the electrical system went dead after it was fix, the alarm was hooked up on the passenger side instead of the driver's side where it was before the accident. They told me they had to hooked up on the passenger side because some on the driver side could not work.  Would this caused the "check engine" light to come on or caused which shows on a OBD1 as a code 51 - Fuel Injection Circuit Open?

Answer
If it is just a car alarm, I find it difficult to believe the alarm would be causing a check engine light.  If it is a remote start then it could cause a problem if not all of the proper circuits are energized in the right sequence.

I would have to think that this error should be looked at by a mechanic.
