Car Alarms: starter and alarm, wire colors, remote starter

Hi, Is there a place that I could get a diagram or color coding for each wire that comes from my remote starter and alarm system. I have misplaced the manual and cannot find anything online about it. I have checked out other systems and the wire colors seem to be the same throughout, is this true? Can you help? Thanks

No, the wiring colors are not standard.  As a matter of fact, the function of a specific colored wire can change from model to model even if the product is made by the same company.  Most of the wires will be close, but being close is not enough to install a product.  If you have an exact make and model of your system you may be able to find the manual online, or at least a list of authorized retailers that may be able to offer some assistance.
