Car Alarms: 96 Acura TL 3.2, acura tl, load test

Question
Hi! I have a problem with my recently purchased used acura - I bought it and it had to sit in the driveway for 3-4 days until I register it.It has factory keyless entry and security system, nothing aftermarket. It was sitting fine but on the third night the alarm went off and that was for no reason no one was messing with the car. This happened the next day too I took it for a ride to the grocery store and when I got out(15 min) the alarm was on. Then I drove it for about 100 mile and it was fine for a couple of hours and again in the middle of the night the alarm went off. Now I am telling you this because in another forum I was told it could be the battery not holding enough charge but I took it for a test and it was fine, they hooked a load test machine or something and it was good. I tested it after having the car on the road for a few days so maybe it was charged i don't know. now it hasn't happened recently but I Ictually don't lock the car - live in a decent neighbourghood and at work have no problem too, plus i keep nothing in the car. For the couple times I locked it it was fine. Now my question is : I have a wiring diagram and  a factory manual, if this problem reapears I will want to turn the alarm off completely-I mean when I lock the car I don't want the alarm to arm, can I do this and how?
Thank you very much for your response!

Answer
Evan,
Please help me with clarification of
just what is the car "doing" when it goes "off"?

If it's the headlights and siren, then yes it's
the factory alarm. This means you will need
to locate the DISARM NO UNLOCK wire,
the green/yellow unlock wire at
the factory alarm. 2) Cut the wire and
place a diode inline with the stripe away
from the factory alarm. 3) Tap between
the diode and the factory alarm for your
disarm without unlocking. This means it's
going to stay disarmed, and leave you wide open
for theft. This car takes less then 1 minute
to take. Keep that in mind when messing with
the factory alarm.

Not the easiest procedure, so you may want to
pass this info to an Acura tech if working
on this with them.

However, If it's an aftermarket
piece you may not be aware of

try this.
Put the key in the ignition, and turn forward
all the way just before cranking. Then within
5 seconds, locate, press and hold in the
valet/overide button, found under the
dash area, (push button, spring loaded)
until the installed LED (the blinking light)
in your dash area goes on solid,
and the siren chirps once.

(Your valet switch might be the toggle
(on/off) type. in this case, key on,
flip switch in opposite direction,
then turn the key off.)

This should reset the alarm, and reset
the grounded relay on the starter wire,
allowing you to start the engine.

At this point, the only thing working would
be the keyless entry from the alarm,
if it came equipped that way.

Just Repeat these steps to place it
back to usable armed mode.
You may get 2 chirps, confirming it,
and the lights may flash twice as well.

That should do it.
If you want to remove it at this point,
take it to your neighborhood installer
for this, or buy the wiring chart
(Go to: www.vehiclewires.com)
for the vehicle, and reverse engineer it wire
by wire, until safely removed.

If it does not work out this way,
you will have to replace the system
with one you know how to operate
and what to expect. Don't want to
get stuck in another bad situation.

Let me know what happens.
