Car Alarms: 98 Honda Accord OEM Alarm System, easy target, fuse box

Question
When I lock the car with the remote, then open with the remote and start the car, the alarm goes off (horn beeps) as soon as the car starts.  I've replaced both PDL actuators in rear doors.  Problem still persists.

Now I've realized that if you lock (and unlock) the door with the key instead of the remote, the above problem doesn't happen ;).

Do you think the problem is with the alarm control unit, the PDL actuator in the driver door, or something else?  Seems like it should be obvious with the process of elimination, but I can't figure it out.

Thanks very much!

Answer
From the sounds of it the factory alarm
needs to be bypassed here permanantly.
Try to locate the blue wire in the
same plug as the door lock wires.
Then you want to splice into it and
ground it to the chassis.
Also found in a 14 pin green plug at the
drivers fuse box on the EX model.

This will solve the factory alarm issue
but leave the car an easy target.

While the transponder in the ignition will keep
a thief from stealing it without the right key,
the alarm part of the system (horn and headlights)
will not operate in unision with the ignition
immobilizer.

Get an aftermarket alarm to pick up that duty
and you're all set.

If not able to work it out this way,
might break out a Chilltons manual, and look
for the "disarm defeat" wire and ground that.

Good hunting.
