Answer
The 1990 Camry did not come with a factory alarm.  The alarm system, if it says Toyota on the remote would have been a dealer installed option.

To disarm the alarm permanently you would want to find the valet switch.  Valet mode disables all security functions of an alarm but allows the convenience features to remain functional.  The valet switch is typically a small metal switch mounted out of site.  Find this switch, turn the ignition key to the run position and flip the switch.  This should put the system in valet mode, lighting the LED solid.  If this does not work, I would recommend taking a look under your dashboard and finding the brain of the system.  Take note of the make and model of your unit, then try to find a user's manual for it to fully understand how to work all of the system's options.  Most alarm manufacturers have user's manuals posted on their website for the end user to download.  If it is a Toyota labeled alarm system then you can get a manual from your local Toyota dealer.

Hope this helps.
