Car Alarms: 95 jeep wrangler mopar alarm questions, jeep wrangler, side marker

Question
I have a 95 jeep wrangler with a factory alarm.  or atleast a mopar alarm.  From what I can find out is that its come kind of code alarm.  What I'd like to know is how can I make it flash the side marker lights and add a blinking dask LED to the alarm.  Or can I?  The Alarm works great and is set perfect for my softtop jeep.  I just want to make sure others know it has an alarm

Answer
You are correct with stating your alarm is not a factory alarm, it is aftermarket with Mopar labeling.  Flashing parking lights and an LED are probably options that are indeed available to you.  However the only way to determine it for sure is to find the brain of the alarm under the dash, get the model number and find a manual for it.  There is a very good chance that on the brain itself there is wiring information.  Some brains have the function of each wire molded into the plastic housing.  If your system has this information it will be very easy to add these options.  Code alarm typically offers a positive light flash output that you can tie directly into your parking light circuit and an LED can be picked up from your local install shop at a very inexpensive price.
