Car Alarms: honda accord alarm malfunction, valet mode, brain box

Question
Hello.  I have a '99 Honda Accord with a factory installed alarm.  Last night the alarm sounded twice, for no reason.  The first time, I simply pushed my remote, and it stopped.  The second time (about 2 hours later), it stopped on it's own after about 5 seconds (beeping 3 times right before it stopped), and my remote no longer worked.  I can't open or close the doors with the remote, or turn the alarm on or off.  Then, when I put my key in the ignition this morning and turned the car on, the alarm immediately sounded.  I've put my car into valet mode to stop it, but am still unable to use my remote, even when switching it back to regular mode.  Is this something wrong with the alarm itself?  I have 2 remotes, and neither works, so I don't think it's a problem with the remote itself or the remote battery.  Please help!

Answer
Hard to say just what's happening with it. You may
have lost programing on the remotes, or it may be
a malfuntion of the brain box.

If you can keep it in valet mode, get it over
to the local alarm shop for inspection.
Can't have this keep happening right?
And unfortunately, I can not be there to
work out the trouble, so leave it disabled
until you can see someone about it.

I wish I could offer more, but without
my seeing it first hand, not alot I can do
from here.

Good luck with it.
