Car Alarms: Sky-Trak 750 in 97 civic, underdash area, sky trak

Question
Can you direct me to someone who can reprogram my car alarm in L.A. It is a Sky-Trak 750 that I had installed by the dealer when I bought the car new in 1997. The battery was disconnected by a body shop for 7 days and I was told they had to jump start the car. It does not work now. None of the local auto sound & alarm people know how to reprogram this unit or the Honda dealer. I called the manufacture(a rep)(out of business now) and tried what they suggested, holding the 1 button down while turning the ignition on 5 times within 10 seconds. It didn't work and it does not have any reset button under the dash.

Answer
Seriously Neal, cut it out of the car and upgrade
to a new, warrantied system. This one is going to be
not only difficult to fix as you see,
but it has a starter kill relay inline,
and it can, does, and will malfunction
without repair info.

Best to move onto the next one.

It would be exceedingly dificult to locate
anyone who would have knowledge on this unit, or
that company 9 years later. Sorry.

Go to my site at www.HONDASECURITY.com and see
the link to the civic archives. Get up in the
underdash area and remove that sucker wire by wire,
then put in something fresh, and that you know
how to disable when needed.

Makes for a better, more secure experience.

Have a good day.
